Prospective Graduate Students
Ideal candidates for enrolment in MSc and PhD programs at UBC-GIF should have sufficient background knowledge in several of the following disciplines:
- Electromagnetic and potential field theory - especially as it applies to geophysics
- Linear algebra
- Optimization
- Programming - most relevant languages are Python, Matlab, and Julia
- Inverse theory
- Machine learning
